Court and Game Location
-
Court numbers are labeled on the scoreboard
-

Tournament Rules
-
Minimum of three players per team (max of 4)
-
Players can only play on one team during the tournament.
-
The home team will shoot for the ball at the start of each game. The team on the bottom of the bracket is the home team.
-
The game is a half-court game with normal boundaries plus the midcourt line defining the playing area.
-
The winning team is the first team to score 21 points or the team in the lead at the end of the running 15-minute period clock. A team can win by only one point.
-
Scoring is by 1's and 2's. Baskets made inside the 3-point arc are one point; baskets behind the 3-point arc are awarded two points.
-
After a score, foul, or out of bounds, the offense will begin possession at the top of the key. The ball must be passed in and cannot be shot to begin possession or until the offense has made at least one pass.
-
The defense gets possession after a score (no make-it, take-it)
-
On a change of possession, steal, rebound, etc., the defensive team must take the ball outside the 3-point arc to establish itself as the offense. Even on an air ball, the defense must take the ball outside the arc.
-
The offense will call fouls (i.e., players call their own fouls). A foul called in the act of shooting will result in points being awarded to the team which was fouled, depending on where the player was fouled and a change of possession. A non-shooting foul will result in the ball being awarded back to the offended team and one point to the said team after 4 total fouls.
-
No Timeouts
-
Any team can do Substitutions when the ball becomes dead, before the check-ball or free throw. The substitute can enter the game after his teammate steps off the court and establishes physical contact. Substitutions can only occur behind the end line opposite the basket, and substitutions require no action from the referees or table officials.
-
If the game ends in a tie after regulation time, there will be successive one-minute overtime periods. The game ends when a team scores 21 or the team in the lead when the period ends. The home team shoots for the ball at the start of each period.
-
Teams and Divisions are based on player birth year. “U” can be read as “Under,” so 10U is for players 10 and under. Players can play up. Teams play in the division of their oldest player or higher.
-
Reporting. The winning team is responsible for reporting the score to the tournament director.
